About Ryzome LLC

We are building a social health app on one stubborn observation: people keep promises to other people that they will not keep to themselves.

The company

Ryzome LLC is a Texas limited liability company. It was formed on 20 July 2026 and is registered with the Texas Secretary of State under file number 806706410.

Its managing members are Robert Briggs and Samuel McClure. Between them they are the whole company: there is no board, no outside investor, and nobody else on the payroll.

Ryzome LLC owns and operates this website and the Ryzome app for iPhone and Android. It is our only product. General enquiries reach us at [email protected].

What we are building

Ryzome is a social health app. A small group of people, the size of a group chat rather than the size of a gym, agrees on one metric to care about together. From then on, everybody's number for that metric is visible to everybody else in the group.

There are three metrics to choose from: steps, distance, and sleep. The group picks one and everyone competes on the same thing. Nobody gets to pick the measure they happen to be winning, which is most of the point. A week runs, a standing settles, and then it starts again.

The numbers arrive on their own. Ryzome reads them from the phone already in your pocket and the wearable already on your wrist, whether that is an Apple Watch, a Garmin, a Whoop, or a Fitbit. There is nothing to log, no meal to photograph, and no streak to keep alive by hand. If you walked, it counted.

Why we are building it

Counting was solved a decade ago. Every phone sold today ships with a competent pedometer and a graph to put it on, and it has not made anybody healthier. The problem was never measurement.

The problem is that the measurement is private. A number nobody else sees carries no obligation. You can quietly renegotiate a private target at nine in the evening and no one will ever know you did, because the only party to the agreement was you. Willpower is being asked to do a job that willpower has never once done reliably.

Being accountable to someone works differently, and everyone has already noticed this about themselves. People show up to a run they would have skipped, because somebody is waiting at the corner. People finish a set they would have dropped, because somebody is counting. The mechanism is not shame and it is not competition exactly. It is that a promise with a witness is a different kind of promise.

So Ryzome treats the counting as the commodity it is, and puts its design effort into the seeing. Five people, one metric, one week, and a standing that everybody in the group can look at. That is the entire product, and we think the reason most health apps get deleted in February is that they are missing exactly this and nothing else.

What we will not do with your health data

Health data is not advertising inventory, and we do not treat it as any. Ryzome LLC does not sell your health data, and does not use it for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining, by us or by anybody else.

Sharing inside the app is deliberately narrow, and it is enforced in the database rather than promised in a document. Your group sees your total for the group's chosen metric and the standing that follows from it. Your day-by-day records are never readable by another member, no matter how the app is used. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected, what is shared, and how to get all of it deleted.

Where we are

Ryzome LLC was formed in July 2026 and the app is in active development. It has not been released yet, and is scheduled to launch in 2026 on iPhone and Android. Robert Briggs and Samuel McClure are building it themselves and testing it with small groups of real people, on the theory that a product about a handful of friends should be tested by handfuls of friends.
